Welcome to the Marion Kendrick Comedy Experience!
Comedian | Writer | Actor
Marion Kendrick is a comedian, actor, and screenwriter originally from Jackson, Mississippi. Like most comedians, he began his career clowning in class and has been making those around him laugh ever since.
As a child, he loved to sneak and watch Richard Pryor, and Eddie Murphy, which later ignited his dream. He felt becoming a comedian was inevitable since he and Murphy shared the same birthday.
After graduating from college, he relocated to the Washington, D.C. metro area, where he took the stage for the first time. He honed his craft in D.C. for years and decided to relocate to Hollywood to take his entertainment career to the next level. He’s performing at clubs and showcases all over the country. Marion has been invited to showcase his talent at Comedy Central’s Open-Mic Fight, The Bay Area Black Comedy Competition & Festival, Jamie Foxx's LAFFAPALOOZA Comedy Festival, and The American Black Film Festival. He's also performed standup on Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes, HBO's "The Sumner Report", and Master P's Hoodstars of Comedy.
Marion has an award winning blog, “Sit Yo Ass Down!” which has given him international exposure. His endeavors also afforded him the opportunity to blog for the cable network, TV One.
Like his comedy idols Pryor and Murphy, he plans to write, produce, and act in projects created by him. Please continue to look out for Marion as he makes his mark in the entertainment world.
